Privacy Policy

Stamp Identifier ("the App", "we", "our") is a stamp scanning, identification and collection app developed by Mizakii. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects, how it is used, and your rights as a user.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

If you create an account, we use Firebase Authentication to collect your email address. This lets you sign in and keep your collection synced across devices.

Your Stamp Collection

Photos of stamps you scan, along with the identification details generated for them (country, denomination, description, estimated value, rarity, etc.), are stored in our database (Google Cloud Firestore) under your account so your collection is available wherever you sign in. If you use the App without an account, scans are processed only on your device and are not saved to our servers.

Camera and Photos

The App requests access to your camera and photo library so you can capture or select stamp images for identification.

Purchase Information

If you subscribe to a paid plan or purchase the lifetime unlock, the transaction is processed entirely by Google Play Billing. We receive your subscription status and purchase history so we can unlock the corresponding features. We never see your payment card details.

Advertising Data

The App offers optional rewarded ads (via Google AdMob) that let you unlock additional scans without paying. To show and measure these ads, AdMob may collect your device's advertising ID and other identifiers, in accordance with Google's advertising policies. You can reset or limit ad personalization in your device's settings at any time.

Notifications

If you enable the daily scan reminder, a notification is scheduled locally on your device. No data is sent to us for this feature.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To identify stamps you photograph using AI
• To store and sync Your Stamp Collection across your devices
• To verify your subscription or purchase status and unlock paid features
• To show rewarded ads as an alternative way to unlock additional scans
• To send local reminder notifications, if you enable them

3. Third-Party Services

The App relies on the following third-party services, each governed by its own privacy policy:

• Google Firebase (Authentication & Cloud Firestore) – policies.google.com/privacy
• Google AdMob – policies.google.com/technologies/ads
• Google Play Billing – policies.google.com/privacy

4. Data Retention and Deletion

You can permanently delete your account and all associated stamp scans at any time from Settings > Deactivate Account. This immediately and permanently removes your data from our servers. If you'd rather contact us directly to request deletion, see the Contact section below.

5. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

6. Security

Data sent to and from our servers is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS). Access to your collection and account data requires you to be signed in to your account.

7. Your Choices

• Use the App without an account to keep all scans on-device only.
• Manage or cancel a subscription at any time via the Google Play Store.
• Limit ad tracking/personalization in your device's settings.
• Delete your account and data at any time from within the App.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the App changes. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
